In Spring 2009, I took a class on video game design at whatever college I went to! For my group’s game concept, we came up with TCNJ RPG, the RPG where you play as a student! Unfortunately, due to a variety of factors (including, but not limited to, the lack of time, the fact that the class’s teacher proved to have a knack for getting hung up on largely irrelevant issues while ignoring things like keeping the project on schedule, and that the class was forced to use a toolkit that proved not at all suitable for complex games), the game was never finished!
That said, I did manage to compose quite a few songs for it, all of which solely use the Setzer SPC soundfont, giving them that SNES sound that is so popular nowadays. So here they are!
To continue the “pictures of DS games I saw at a store in Austria” series, here’s a picture of the only version of Pokemon to feature a robust regular expression engine:
I’ve already mentionedSonny, the best Flash game ever. Now allow me to introduce another Flash game which not only features a deep and engaging storyline, but also a catchy theme song: Burn the Rope!
Well, what are you waiting for this time? It’s time to rise to the challenge, and be a hero!
I would now like to take a break from long-winded posts to point out Sonny, an excellent Flash game. In fact, I’d say it’s one of the best I’ve played; not only does it have an engaging plotline (You play as a zombie, trying to uncover the mystery of your past), but its production values are top-notch. (It’s not every day you see a Flash game with voice acting.)
